First Week Back From Fall Break

After a greatly needed Fall break, we are all back at school, which also means resuming the good work we've been doing for Anh Linh. We've done a great job starting off the fledgling club with a few events to raise $$$, all stored in our club account, ready to be used for the greater tasks we have ahead of us.

We haven't stepped straight into action from the first week back from break; after all, everyone needs time to get back on track with school. So our meeting this week was meant to recap our accomplishments in the first quarter, and slowly gain momentum for second quarter.

We have decided to start off with a book drive - Anh Linh's main need is high quality educational resources, and what better way to utilize the unread books in our homes and school than to simply donate them to students at Anh Linh who can gain so much from these books. We will also be repeating our very successful, almost unexpectedly successful, pizza sales with a bit of a twist. You all remember how 12 fresh pizzas turned into 12 empty boxes within 10 minutes of sales? Well we will be ordering more pizza than before, along with drinks. Our second pizza sales will take place next Thursday and hopefully it will turn out to be an even bigger success than last time.

Other than that, we have Food Fest and Pumpkin Patch coming up, so stay tuned for more updates and look forward to our new club site www.anhlinhschool.com!
