We're closing in on first semester, and soon, we'll all be on our first major vacation of the school year. But before that merry time called Christmas, we have one final meeting.
The past few weeks can be summarized into:
The Good: SAS has approved to release 15 desktop computers to us for donation to Anh Linh, all of which are barely three years old. We are getting them configured with programs for use in Anh Linh, but along with those are clothing and books from our drives that will also be on its way to Anh Linh this Friday.
The Bad: Raising money to fund the service trip, and finding a suitable shipping company to ship our donations this week. UPS, which visited SAS for their promotion, only had premium one day arrival air flight available at a cost of over $3000 - unnecessarily exorbitant and impractical for us. We're still looking for a cost at around $500. Hopefully, this will be settled before Friday.
