Shoes, Shirts, Shorts, and more!

With Outreach Vietnam's two week holiday drive coming to an end, we reflect on the generosity of the SAS community to fill three boxes and three suitcases worth of Christmas donations for the Anh Linh Free School:

1. 30 easy-to-read novels
2. Journals, notebooks, and calendars
3. Two pairs of shoes
4. Three sets of art supplies
5. A LCD monitor screen
6. Two new Wii remotes
7. And lots and lots of clothes -- over two suitcases worth of clothes!

In two weeks, these items will be donated to the Anh Linh free school in time for Christmas. As for the rest of the club members, a massive three-club jog-a-thon will be held next week to raise funds for similar causes:
  1. Metta Home:  To continue to work with the physically and intellectual disabled residents of the Metta Home Day Activity Center in Singapore, and to support the growing and diverse needs of the home to facilitate sustainable growth in the long-term.
  2. Outreach Vietnam: Proceeds will go towards the 2012 Annual Service Trip to Ho Chi Minh City to work with the Anh Linh Free School, ongoing technology program, and expansion of our support to other needy schools and orphanages in Vietnam and the region.
  3. Miracles in Medan: To fund the club's first service trip to Medan, Indonesia to work with the St. Francesco Nunnery and the orphans of under the care of the facility., and to provide funds to build their first library.
